A conversation that came up while doing vocab words in one of my classes (it would help if you picture Chandler's face from the episode of Friends where he was trying not to make fun of anyone as a New Year's resolution):

Me: Are there any other words from this reading anyone doesn't understand?
Girl 1: Penetrate... teacher, what does penetrate mean?
Me: ... (trying to keep a straight face)
Girl 2: penetrate.. penetrate.. penetrate, me... me don't know penetrate.
Me: ... (still trying, but as I tried to think of a "good" example)
Girl 3: exctive.. exctive..
Girl 1: Executive.. you don't have "sex" (turns to me and smiles, and I swear it was a little naughty, and turns back to the girl). "Sex", "sex, "sex"... you need "sex"(starts laughing)
All the girls start to laugh, and I drop my head and think about my failures as a teacher... yeah, it was awesome.
