R.I.P Christopher Reeve

It was easy to immediately feel sorry for him after his paralyzing accident in 1995. But after reading this article, I could start to see how he had quite an incredible life. He was incredibly lucky and fortunate in so many ways, and in a way, it all ended up helping him deal with his handicap far better than most others would normally be able to. He had the resources to afford top medical care, he had the talent and the will to continue to work after the accident, and most importantly he had a family who loved him and stuck by him until the very end. Don't get me wrong, what he had to go through was terrible, but I just can't help but see how lucky he was in these other ways.

as a side note-
Recently Keith posted about what he was looking for in a girl. While neither his nor mine is an all-encompassing list, you can find what I'm looking for here, 3rd paragraph from the end.
